wie zijn we

Books, Rights & More works with a team of experienced and enthusiastic professionals. The company is owned by Hélène Lesger who has more than 25 years’ experience in the book industry, first as an editor and initiator of the international rights department at Gottmer/Becht Publishers, and later as publisher and ultimately editorial director at Terra/Lannoo Publishers. Hence, she has a full understanding of the whole spectrum of the industry and has an extensive network of contacts around the world and a very strong international focus. As a result, Books, Rights & More is in an ideal position to help you achieve your international ambitions.

Despite such diversity between projects, the Books, Rights & More approach is characterised by our love of high-quality, appealing and marketable publications. We don't like unfinished business, so you can be assured that whatever we do, we put our heart and soul into it to ensure a top-quality result.

wie is helene

Hélène knew from a young age what she wanted to do: make wonderful books. After studying publishing at the Frederik Muller Academie, she started her career at Gaade Publishers as editorial and production assistant in 1987. Almost 2 years later she moved to Gottmer/Becht Publishers where she worked as an editor. In parallel she established the international rights department which soon became a success. She subsequently spent many years as a publisher at Gottmer and Terra/Lannoo Publishers. At Terra she progressed to the role of editorial director which included responsibility for the overall publishing strategy.

In 2009 Hélène started her own company, Books, Rights & More. She now puts her experience as publisher, her international network and her market knowledge to excellent use for the customers of Books, Rights & More. In addition she occasionally writes books of her own, and as a book packager she develops books for the international market.
